Our Journey

Our life was packed into a shipping container and we landed in Hereford on 22nd August 2019.

 

Day one it was all about the  horses, creating the stables, which had to be Monarch! And so the ‘royal mews’ were created. 4 stables were installed inside an old cow shed. Next the post and rail fencing was added to create the turnout paddocks for the horses.

5 BIG Projects all on the go!

​

Project 1: Involved completely renovating a cottage located on the farm. We spent a month transforming it into  rural hideaway. A fabulous local builder who had an amazing workforce made up of his sons soon got to grips with the work. The Paddocks is completed and up and running as a holiday retreat.

Project 2: Planning was approved to extend and renovate the agricultural barn - approval was given in January. Work is now underway to create a hay and forage barn and a tool shed. 

​

Project 3: Next a planning application was submitted to create a menage, which was approved in April. Contractors began work on 6th July and we aim to complete by September

​

Project 4: We have started to renovate a traditional granary store with original beams to create a bijoux studio. We aim to complete end of August creating a second holiday let. 

​

Project 5: This will be the big one. creating our dream home. The architect has now drawn up the designs and we expect this will take us 1 year - deadline August 2021
