Palace Farm Recipes


We are having amazing people in the village who are fabulous gardeners and we are surrounded by commercial vegetable growers so we have an abundance of fresh fruit and veg.

And of course we have our own fruit and veg as well - so cooking with all these fresh ingredients is a must.

We thought we would share some of our own recipes as we practice perfecting our favourites.

Courgette Loaf

Very scrummy when warm. This cake freezes really well - just let it go cold place in a freezer bag and freeze.

Roasted cherry tomato soup

Throw cherry tomatoes, onion, celery, chilli into a roasting dish - splash with olive olive.

Mushroom soup 

Field mushrooms - August we simply had loads growing in the paddocks.

Beetroot soup

I add Marjoram - I like this herb as it is quite subtle in flavour and I want to taste the beetroot.
